Currently seeking a Industrial Project Manager for our mid-Atlantic Region based in Charlotte, North Carolina  This position reports to the Construction Manager and will spear head new industrial construction, capital improvement, and industrial maintenance projects in the petrochemical, oil & gas, power, utilities, pulp & paper and pharmaceutical arenas.

WHAT DOES THIS JOB ENTAIL?

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for an entire department or major segment of the construction project
  • Delegates the implementation of policies and practices through subordinate supervisory and management levels
  • Manage and direct multiple foreman, equipment, and subcontractors to meet production goals and ensure operation is safe.
  • Analyze processes & infrastructure for more efficient and safer ways to perform tasks
  • Calculate materials/quantities for ordering purposes. Have a knowledge of load charts and rigging. Be able to identify changes in scope
  • Build and maintain effective relations with owner, client, managers, and other employees
  • Understand daily cost / monthly cost reports and projections. Review daily reports and daily diaries
  • Effectively manage crew, equipment, and other resources.

•  Report injuries and damages; take steps to limit vandalism and injuries

Credentials:

  • Ability to plan and perform highly complex operations with the ability and authority to make decisions autonomously
  • Initiative and motivation to perform to high standards in a demanding environment
  • Highly organized and a strong leader; advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience with managing foreman and trades crews
  • Confidence to interact with all invested parties – client, subcontractors, trades, etc.
  • AS or BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years actual field experience in industrial construction
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Leadership and human resources management skills
